This weeks Top 5 Wednesday topic is: Books to finally read in 2017 that have been on your to-read list for a couple years
I have a ton of books that I have been looking forward to reading; however, quite a few of those are on hold because the last book in the series isn’t released until 2017. The following books are ones I have been wanting to read for awhile but haven’t gotten around to it. Too many other books have taken precedence.
The Wind in the Willows
This has been on my to-read list forever! With this new edition coming out (already supposed to be but was delayed) it’s a perfect time! I already have it on pre-order!
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series
I have heard some fantastic things about this series and am eager to read this one but I just haven’t had time. It’s at the top of my list for next year!
The Fifth Season
The final book in the series is supposed to be released in 2017 so this is also at the top of my to-read list for next year. It sounds fantastic!
The Dark Tower Series
I believe the first book is being made into a movie, which may be coming out next year. I have been wanting to read this for a couple of years now, ever since my husband started it. He kept saying I would like it but I just wasn’t sure. However, I think 2017 will be the year in which I delve into it.
Artemis Fowl Series
Again, I have heard good things about this series so I really need to read it! It’s important to me to find some good series that my children will love to read once they get older.
It gets better and better every book so give it a good chance 😊😊😊😊
You definitely need to read the Dark Tower series!!! I can’t say if the movie will be any good, can say it definitely won’t rise to the brilliance that is King and this series as a whole. So definitely worth reading the series before seeing the film. If you’re like me, you might not be sure about reading the whole series after Book 1, but don’t stop there! At least read 2&3, and if you’re not hooked by then at latest then fair enough😛 Hope you enjoy the series!
Thanks for the advice! I’ll see how far I can get! As for the movie, I wish they would have done a TV show instead. I feel like books are better portrayed that way.
Yeah definitely, a Tv series would definitely have suited Dark Tower much more!
